I just ordered a Hasbro Ultimate Bumblebee in the mail less than a week ago and it arrived today. I unwrapped it and finally (once I had gotten it out of the five layers of packaging) I was able to hold it for the first time. And wow. What a toy. Ultimate Bumblebee is BY FAR my favorite Transformer. With so many moving parts, lights, sounds, 17 phrases and 9 songs, what's not to like?
Bumblebee stands about four inches taller than the Leader Class Megatron, which is already saying something. Just wait. In vehicle mode when flipped up to show the underside of the car, it is still about two inches taller than Megatron. I was in awe. There are no real let downs to this toy. The only things I can think of are these: 1. The shoulders are a pain to lock into place each time you transform it into a robot. 2. Well, I don't really have a second thing. That's how awesome this toy is.
I would very very very very highly recommend this toy. Though little kids may need adult help transform it, but that's not a problem. the video instructions on trasnformers.com really help.

Transformers Transformation :
Transfomers Ultimate Bumblebee comes packaged in robot form. According to the packaging, transformation is level 5, the highest in transformation difficulty. This is indeed true, as transformation is very difficult and there are some points that you'll discover on your own that are not referenced in the product manual. A lot of the car panels snap into place using locks similar to LEGO Technic Bolts. The car doors are attached to the toy with rubber cables, and you have to push it onto the front side panels - hardly seeing anything - until you hear it snapping into place. When turning back to robot mode, the arms do not simply snap on to the body, there's a D-shaped portion in the joint that you have to align with the socket and it only snaps into place after a few turns of the arm.
All in all, transformation to alternate mode and back to robot is difficult but it gets easier with practice. The parts are sturdy enough to handle your first few mistakes in transformation, but you still have to take care to not force anything into place. Hasbro did a great job by creating this fabulous toys!

It is much better than my expectation, and I fully enjoy the Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee. If that can walk by it self then it can be one of the best robot toys.

Amazing detail and craftmanship. My five-year-old granddaughter loves this thing. It is complex enough to challenge her problem solving skills, large enough for little hands to manipulate, and durable enough to withstand playtime with her younger brother's Decepticons. Great toys and superb gift idea!

The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. Advanced Animatronics and Sounds
Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee features an advanced animatronic design, which means he can move and animate himself when in robot mode. With the touch of a button, he'll burst into motion. His head moves expressively from side to side, and his arms and wings both move up and down. He can even aim his plasma cannon and fire off his missile.
Perhaps most impressively, he has full sound detection capabilities. He will respond to noises by turning and making sounds of his own. In addition to his animatronics and motion, Ultimate Bumblebee can also make a variety of exciting sounds. This ever-vigilant Autobot has 17 different heroic conversation phrases, such as "Let's roll out!" and "Take that, Decepticon!" He also makes battle sounds -- kids will hear the firing of his plasma cannon and the whirring, crushing sound of his movements. He'll even boogie as he plays Devo's popular song, "Whip It."
